Favourite moment: One of the drummer was also acting the 'goofy' part for comedic break. And the speed at which most of the skits were played. OUTSTANDING!!! @

Everything about this show was amazing!!!! It started off with a creatively put together set which they changed periodically as they played different items. All the costumes were great. The energy of the drummers was awesome. You could tell they were really playing from their heart and soul. The sound was amazing in the theatre. (All the audience was as close to the stage as possible. There were not many ppl there and I am sad to say that people have missed an amazng show.) Believe it or not, there was a lot of humour in it as well. And the audience was engaged to clap along, etc. etc. The entire show was very engaging. Not one single boring moment. They got a LOT of appalause from the audience because their drumming was exceptional!!! The speed, the tricks, everything! And of course they got a standing ovation at the end of it all. (FYI, there was no kind of photography allowed as it would truly be distracting. The ambience was dark.)

Great show. The drums vibrate through your whole body. The Yamato drummers earned every penny I spent on tickets. I would definitely see them again.

I have seen many taiko groups over the years, both in Canada and Japan. Yamato's overall taiko performance and engaging stage presence put's them at the top of the game.

We thought the group was amazing. Superb sound. Enjoyed the humour as well.
The group seemed to be having a good time as well and involved the audience. Very effective.
Would go see them again.

This is the third time I see this group and they continue to wow every single time. They are so skilled-the complexity and synchronicity is simply astounding to watch. But, more than this, it is a wonderfully choreagraphed performance that is light and amusing at times and, overall, completely entertaining. It will leave you awestruck. And.... they change the performance from year to year so there are always new pieces to entertain you. Everyone in our group loved it and one person found it a much more satisfying experience than another Japanese drumming show he saw in the past.
