Best show EVER!! Really though, they were so amazing I wanted to cry. I brought my friend and all she kept saying was thank you- all night- she had never heard of them before this and is now their #1 fan....such a wonderful experience- they opened with my favourite song and closed with an MJ tune...couldnt ask for anything else- best show ever!!!!!!!

This is my third time seeing The Civil Wars perform live in 2011, all in Toronto (first at El Mocambo, then opening with Adele, and at The Phoenix Theatre Tuesday night). Each performance has me transfixed. What Joy and John Paul are able to do with a mixture of great songwriting and haunting vocals is to take you someplace else. You are transported to some magical place, and you don't want to come back! Joy is a pixie warrior; both delicate and strong in her presence on stage and stellar vocals. John Paul's dry wit compliments Joy's playfulness, and their voices blend wonderfully. If they were coming a 4th time in 2011, I'd be there!

The Civil Wars are dynamite performers who are two of the most talented musicians in the industry. Their unique voices and unforgettable sound put them at the top of my list. I thoroughly loved their spin on the songs billy jean and you are my sunshine.

Joy Williams and John Paul White are mesmorizing together. Not only heavenly vocals, but such interesting and playful chemistry. Really enjoyed this although was standing near the back the entire time.
