It was a great night for hockey starved fans, with a balance familiar players
with highly developed skills, and a group of young, skilled, and improving
University hockey stars. The impression that I drove home with was a feeling
of pride in the skill level of the Thunderbirds play, and the respect shown by
each team, for the other teams skill & efforts. I felt that Bieksa's buddies
allowed the T-Birds to show their solid teamwork, while still giving the fans the
occasional burst of speed, and skills, that we are familiar with at the NHL level.
Kudos to Kevin, and to all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the night a
success. There were no losers on the ice, and the biggest winners were the
Charities benefitting from the game.

Favourite moment: There were many, but the passing precision shown at times by Bieksa's Buddies, was
exciting to watch, and I'm sure an inspiration to the Thunderbirds. @
