Valdy totally captivating

Favourite moment: tough to pick one - lots of wow moments with the storytelling and guitar work and weaving of songs. @

Setlist: Sonny's Dream, Mean Mama, VLT,Country Man, Read Between the Lines, Rock'n roll song, Dirty ol' Man, Yes I can, Peter and Lou, Yes I can, Cottonwood Memory and numerous others. @

Opening act(s): none - no need. He makes it out to the lobby before everyone during the intermission and after the show - makes you feel like he invited you to his place. @

Comments from our group of 11 people - young and old: Stunningly captivating performance. Awe inspiring guitar playing supporting a delicate mixture of storytelling and songwriting. Consummate professional. Totally captivating. voice is still rich and comforting; amazing how one person can command an entire stage; stories interwoven with songs in perfect cadence; wonderfully accessible. He still has a lot of relevant things to say about life, love and the world around us. We could appreciate his older repertoire even more because he breathed new soul into old favorites with storytelling and nimble guitar dancing - ahhh yes, and those dancing feet...

I've had the pleasure of seeing Valdy a number of times over the years. He is always the gracious and comfortable host. He also has a knack of making what he does look easy, which is deceptive as he is a very accomplished song writer, singer and guitar player. It was a pleasure to see him again. I bought both the cd's he had to offer and found them to be great.

I saw him at the TING 40 years ago and was there in 74 at the WFF....Valdy was and still is a National Treasure.The concert was the best kept secret of the year.
