Favourite moment: At one point the band played riffs from other artists and the audience sang their hearts out to the obvious delight of the boys in the band. @
Setlist: All the favorites..Donkey Riding, When I'm Up, Run Runaway, Ordinary Day, End of the World, Lukey, Consequence Free, Sea of No Cares, Captain Kidd, Clearest Indication @
Opening act(s): Spirit of the West..whose And if Venice is Sinking and The Crawl totally captivated the audience and warmed them up for Great Big Sea. And they finished the night on stage together in high style! @
On a summer evening, down by the lake, a Canadian band threw a party for their adoring fans. The energy that began with Spirit of the West continued to build with the boys from Newfoundland...and the crowd seemed to eat it up and send it back!! Songs familiar enough to sing along to, but with a pulse too big to keep to their seats, people danced and clapped happy to be there. This is a band that loves their country and loves their fans and it is so evident in the interaction with their audience. They were grateful and humble enough to play with their hearts and souls and had us screaming for more. It was a concert that you just didn't want to end!
