Alejandro Escovedo's Trinity-St. Paul's concert was intimate, open and honest; an enlightening journey through the past to discover the heart and motivations behind his deep songwriter's descriptive moving passages.
A reflective look of an inspired artist who has endured a rough road through humble beginnings to portraying his insightful commentary while enduring his continued self discovery. And did I mention the Music was WICKED!
It was also great to meet after the show and get him to sign my vinyl... I asked him if there was a special message he garnered working on his latest album with Tony Visconti, and he wrote the following before signing:
"Sensitive Boys want all your Love ---
Or they want no Love at all... "
If you EVER get the chance to see Alejandro -- GO, you will not be disappointed!

Favourite moment: Performance of "Sister Lost Soul" was stellar; Susan Voelz's violin gave spine chills. @
Opening act(s): Joseph Arthur has some incredible songs, but I think he needed a supporting band or accompaniment. He did not exude the same confidence he has on his wonderful CDs. @
