They played VINTAGE Van Halen songs, tunes that haven't been heard in decades and unknown mainstream hits that only have been on albums and never before played in stadiums, at least not in over 25 years. The moment they started Everybody Want Some there were guys wetting themselves and literally becoming unglued in the stands and on the floor. The crowd stood on their feet the moment Alex came on stage and they NEVER EVER sat back down. Eddie's guitar solo was just like watching him in 1978 when he was in 21 years old. We've seen VH 4 times and they have NEVER sounded, played nor put on a show like last night. And kudso to Diamond Dave who is a freaking machine on stage and an incredible showman. The man never stops smiling. Alex's drum solo was Neal Pert worthy and I mean that in sincerity. Wolfgang's vocals are every bit as chopped excellence as Michael Anthony's but his bass playing is just freaking stellar. The kid can play and he's magnificent at it along with his singing. But the night belonged to the MAN himself and his low-key stature and a smile that never wavered and fingers that just are truly a gift from another galaxy. Eddie was plaing songs note for note from decades ago and better than he's ever sounded, if that was possible. He truly lived up to his legacy last night. There's guitarists and then there's Van Halen. My wee boy, who is now a grown young man, was in sheer ecstasy and fighting back tears. Seeing the reaction from BJ and the overwhelming adoration he had for Eddie just be blown to a new hemisphere was worth EVERY dollar paid!!! Van Halen Is BACK!!! Long Live The KING!!!

Jump alright. Out of my seat and back home. DLR sucked the Big One although the rest of he band were excellent. Wolfie , while not Michael Anthony, did tremendously well , especially on background vocals. He is actually, at age 21, quite an accomplished bass player. Alex showed why he is still revered as one of the best drummers in rock music. And Eddie, well he's Eddie Van Halen. Not much more needs to be said about him. Still the best guitarist out there today as he was totally amazing and worth the cost of admission alone.
Overall , David Lee Roth was absolutely horrible as he was often out of sync with the band and needed every bit of help on vocals that was inhumanly possible. He is strictly a mess. But the band, minus of course Roth, could do no wrong and were excellent.

Horrible. I will never pay to see them again. I was looking forward to this concert with David Lee Roth as lead singer. The tickets were expensive t he band was great and Roth was Bad. Waste of hard earned money.

david lee roth forgot most lyrics, didnt sing loud enough, squeeled and squeeked incoherant mumblings when the crowd was trying to sing along with him.

he didnt even sing "Panama" right,,, only vocals you could make out all night was Eddie and Wolfgangs back up vocals.

only thing worth seeing was Eddie on guitar,

Van Halen sucked,no stage decor,Vocals crap,couldn't hear David lee Roth vocals for first half of concert.Van Halen had a black stage no light show,boring 1/2 of concert.
Cool & the Gang the opening band was totally awesome,good show clear vocals,instruments,lots of action,crowd pleaser,stage looked great.
just never will recommend any one to Van Halen Ever!!!!!

Plus the security was a pain too,if you went out the norht door of MTS center they would not let you in the South door,you had to walk all the way around 4 blocks to get in,during intermission.my ticket would't scan,they never use bracelets,totally a rip off considering the pricew of tickets.

this would have been amazing. I can't believe that even he could come off as conceited and uncaring as he did.

The concert was pretty good. Great to see Eddie jammin out the riffs we all heard growing up. Eddie was up to fine form, nailing those signature guitar solos. David Lee was at times amazing, but others not so much. He seemed to forget the words at times & couldn't quite hit the high notes like the old days. But hey, the years have taken a toll on all of us. Overall a fun night.

Eddie Van Halen was definitely the star of the show. His guitar playing was as great as ever. David Lee Roth's voice is past its prime and was only okay.

The concert was the first time I have seen them since 1984. But it was good to see they sound as good as ever. David's voice and Eddie's Guitar playing were both in top form that night. Each song, new or old, was better than the one before.

These guys are just not the same. You can tell there a problems with the band as they just didn't click on stage.

David forgot lyrics, and just kinda walked around mumbling?

The arena itself was hot, the air ventilation was out, so it was smoky and stinky.

Just wasn't a good evening.

I always seem to have to travel five hundred or more miles to see great performances and true rock and roll legends. Well I sure wasn't disappointed when Van Hallen rolled out their show. So much energy and so much talent. Just loved it.

ILOVE VAN HALEN and enjoyed the show except the sound was horrible. You could barely hear david lee roth and sometimes you couldn't even tell what song they were playing. A total bummer, but still glad I went because hey it's Van Halen!

Setlist: All the Roth hits, sadly as expected none of the Hagar stuff. @

Opening act(s): Kool & The Gang, were indeed that...COOL! Very nice stage setup for an opening act, incredible horns to get the crowd into it. Fitted in for the same era as Halen. @

It was my 1st time seeing Van Halen but been a fan for so many years (will admit I like the Hagar era just as much as the Roth era). Missed the show when they were here 3or4 years ago, and wasn't gonna miss the chance to see the legendary band this time around. Was amazed by the huge projection screen in the back, the band was awesome! Wolfgang has really come along on the bass, and Eddie looked great and still has the magic fingers pulling the solos that only Eddie can. Sadly Roth did stumble on some lyrics in 2 of the songs, and his voice seemed a little raspier then usual so on that note it did affect the experience of the concert. But he did make up for it with his usual showmanship and enthusiasm that u expect from "Diamond Dave." Overall, a very fun show and so happy I finally got to say I saw VAN HALEN!

The music was to loud for the vocals which took away from the the concert itself. It would of been nice to see Eddie actually move around the stage rather then stand in the same spot for the entire concert less his solo which was fantastic.Would of liked to of heard more older music rather than the new album the band itself was excellent David Lee Roth has never been good live and he did not dissapoint but i would rather see him than Sammie any day.Had $165 dollar tickets which was way to much by the cheaper ones and you will enjoy it more. All in All not bad but not great

Terrible concert....not surprised they pulled the pin shortly after. David LR's voice was in better shape than I imagined but he talk-singed his way through songs so they were virtually unrecognizable!!! He was more concerned with his high kicks rather than singing the melody. The Van Halens were in okay form, but chose to sing way too many new songs without singing some big hits like Janie's Cryin, etc.

I have been a Van Halen fan for years and when I saw them play here a few years back it was amazing. This time not so much...David Lee Roth's voice is completely gone...Save your money. Youtube has all the proof you need for this tour.
