The USA, Russian, Canadian and Swiss teams have their work cut out for them if they hope to dominate the Swedes this year. There was some strong work by the Canadians who seem to be starting to gel. The Americans looked very weak.

I thought that the game was great. But the Saddledome needs improvement. It is like a canyon in the dark when you enter and walk around. The seats in our Section were narrow and so flimsy that when other people sneezed , talked or rocked to the music; the whole row moved. Concessions were awful and expensive; though the staff was good. It takes ages to walk to the C Train station. When in Winnipeg we left the game and got to ur hotel in the same time as it takes to walk to the C Train staition and wait. Also lots of buskers on the way and in around the Saddledom.e So in essence if it was not for the game; it is a waste of tiem!!

Was the first time my 4 year old daughter has gone to a hockey game. She was super excited to be at a hockey game and experience the game, the sights, sounds (and mostly the food). Very enjoyable experience.

"Canada far outshone the Fins! Canada's Offense commanded the game with a three goal score and plenty of great opportunities not to miss. With the Fin's one goal, Canada also controled and shut down the Fins with a superior Offense for the remainder of the second and third periods. I brought my best friend to the game and we were not disappointed - we can now say we've been to The World Juniors and watched the Canadian team kick ass! :)"

The IIHF World Junior Championships have ALWAYS been a spectacular show of young athletic up-n'-coming hockey players trying to win the all important gold! I went to every game in the 2006 IIHF World Junior Championships when they were held in Vancouver BC (when Canada won gold!!), and ever since then I have supported the Championship every year!
This years Championship is extra special for me as I was able to bring my 6-Month Old baby boy, who was wearing all Team Canada wear, to his VERY FIRST Hockey Game!! He loves hockey and had a blast!!
My wife and I have always been HUGE hockey fans, and while I am from Vancouver and cheer for the Canucks, she is from Calgary and cheers for the Flames, we are both able to come together to cheer for the same team, that being Team Canada!!!
And because we are such HUGE hockey fans, we decided to be original and named our son Bauer! (Yes, just like the hockey brand!)

I'm embarrassed to admit, I may be one of the only Canadians who resembles ‘Bambi on ice’ or is by no means, a passionate NHL fan. However, the World Juniors is truly exciting hockey with the ultimate pride playing for your country. Surprising my father with an early Christmas gift, I invited him to the pre tournament Canada vs. Finland game which he accepted whole heartedly. He remarked later it was of his best nights; great hockey, friendly people, father & son together. Canada won 3-1!

the game was okay. Canada was still working out it's tweaks before the tournament begins but the atmosphere and the experience that Calgary has created for the world juniors is amazing.

I watched the Junior's play and they were just fantastic. The play was crisp and clean, with the boys keeping your attention for the full 60min of play. Way way better the watching the NHL game the following day.

Like what can you guys possibly be thinking playing the Chicago Blackhawks goal song in the saddledome I'm sure Edmonton fans will be just as disgusted please change that.... everything else was fantastic but as a loyal flames that ruined every time they scored having to listen to that crap

Great to get to some kind of Team Canada action esp being in Alberta. Got tickets a few days before for a reasonable price and the family enjoyed every minute of the game. The experience for the kids was awesome and would be nice to do it again sometime. Of course, makes the whole thing that much better since Team Canada won too!!
