The Royal Winter Fair was a great event this year, as usual, however it seemed like there was a much heavier focus on city life than country life, which seemed to dominate the rest of the show.
As usual, there were a variety of several animals; dairy cows, horses, pigs, sheep, lamb, etc. There was a small feeding zoo that was insanely crowded, partially due to the horrible way they laid it out.
If you are in the mood for food, there was quite a good selection. Hank Daddy's BBQ (Pulled Pork Parfait, mmmmm), Bacon Nation (even pigs like bacon), and a variety of other local and not so local places. There was also Pizza Pizza, because really, what would an event in Toronto be without cheap and burnt pizza?
There were lots of vendors, mostly selling equestrian and dog related items, such as harnesses, coats, riding crops. We picked up a ball-in-a-ball dog toy thing. It wasn't a hit with the puppy.
Overall, it was a great show, with lots to see, just with a higher city focus in my opinion than in previous years.
